While the exact causes remain unknown, early awareness of risk factors can help reduce the likelihood of developing the disease\u2014many of which are closely linked to our daily habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Related daily habits:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1. Lack of exercise<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Overweight or obese<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Living under high mental pressure<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Never breastfed<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Other Risk Factors<\/u><\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Age \u2013 Risk goes up as you get older.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Early menstruation (before age 11) or late menstruation (after age 55)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Personal health history \u2013 If you\u2019ve had breast cancer, ovarian cancer, lobular carcinoma in situ or certain non-cancerous benign breast conditions (like atypical hyperplasia)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Family history or genetics \u2013 Especially if close relatives had breast, ovarian, prostate, or pancreatic cancer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) \u2013 Long-term use may increase risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Having these risk factors doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019ll definitely get breast cancer\u2014but it does mean you should be extra mindful about screenings and healthy habits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>How to Lower Your Risk:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stay active \u2013 Exercise for at least 3 hours per week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Maintain a healthy weight \u2013 Avoid being overweight or obese.\u00a0 Extra body fat, especially after menopause, can raise risk.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Manage stress \u2013 Chronic stress can disrupt your body\u2019s hormones. Try relaxation techniques and maintain a positive mindset.\u00a0 Do not hesitate to ask for help if you\u2019re feeling overwhelmed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Cut back on alcohol \u2013 Even small reductions can make a difference reduces the risk of breast cancer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Eat a Healthy Diet:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Limit fatty meats and processed foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Increase antioxidant-rich foods, such as those high in vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene (e.g., blueberries, plums, strawberries, kale, spinach, broccoli, and red peppers) to combat free radicals.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Virtually all women are at risk of breast cancer.
